Osteoclasts work together with other cells called Osteoblasts, which build new bone, to keep our skeleton strong and stable.

This happens because the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the communication between nerves and muscles (nicotinic receptors), making it hard for the muscles to contract properly and leading to difficulties in moving, speaking, or even breathing.
